Step 1: 1p

Three days later and I'm still on step 1, I did however find 20 pence but due to the rules I can not start on anything but a 1 pence piece. The search carries on and hopefully after much searching I will find the magical 1 pence that will turn into a million. The car parks and shopping centres in Essex seem to be empty when it comes to loose change.

I will keep you informed.

Introduction

Like most people I think about how life would be if I was wealthy enough to never have to work again. Whether that's winning the lottery or placing that lucky bet to get me millions. I've spent hours, days, and weeks duing my spare time researching online how to make money and reading every 'get rich quick scheme' going. When doing the theory behind every plan there was a down side that meant it wasn't possible. Even giving Derren Brown's theory of winning the lottery a try, but no luck.

Today I came across a site that tells you how to make a million in a simple 28 step program. You start with a penny and double it until you get to a million. Step 1 find a penny, step 2 double it to 2 pence and so forth. However there are rules to this which can be found at http://www.cashocean.com/dldyw/ some of which you might not agree with but I feel they are essential to making this work. One of the rules state that you must keep a blog, hence this blog you are reading now.

At this moment in time I have no plan as to how I'm achieve a million, I've done no research and haven't spoken to anyone. I believe the first 10 steps should be straight forward and get harder from there on. I'm currently working full time so I won't have the time to keep on top of this. However I'd like to set myself a relatistic goal of three years to get to the £1,000,000 or more accuratly £1,342,177.28, however there are rules that allow you to round some steps off, for example step 10 to £5.00 instead of £5.12.
